Event Type

If a major disaster were to strike, what would happen to Dunbar?  The City of Vancouver has limited resources, which will be focused on key infrastructure and services and so we’ll be reliant on each other to get through the most difficult immediate aftermath.

You are invited to join us on Saturday, 12 May to participate with our simulated disaster field exercise where we will be putting our Disaster Support Hub through its paces. Come and see how it all works and find out how personal and neighbourhood preparedness makes us more resilient.

This will be a hands-on exercise and training will be given for those interested in participating.

DEEP is leading the effort to develop, equip and train community members in how to effectively operationalize the Disaster Support Hub model.

Location: Dunbar Community Centre – near the tennis courts at the back
